Challenge

Expand the Khumani Iron Ore Mine, located 18 km south of the town of Kathu in the Northern Cape, on the Bruce, King, Mookaneng, and Parson farms
Deviate the Postmasburg and Hotazel Transnet Freight Rail line in order to develop the King ore body and sustain the increased annual throughput
Construct approximately 8.36 kilometers of electrified railway line and associated infrastructure including stormwater diversion
Uplift and stack the existing perway and overhead traction equipment material

Provided EPCM services for the implementation phase of the project
Reviewed and confirmed the engineering and design deliverables undertaken as part of the Khumani Expansion project
Undertook the procurement function required for and on behalf of Assmang Limited for the placement of supply contracts and construction packages
Provided quality assurance and control of the supply and construction packages
